Natchez Literary and Cinema Celebration Scrapbooks EA2010.002

The Natchez Literary and Cinema Celebration is a theme-based conference devoted to literature, history, film, and culture held each spring in Natchez, Mississippi. The series was started as the Natchez Literary Celebration in June 1990 by Copiah-Lincoln Community College and is now co-sponsored by Copiah-Lincoln, Natchez National Historical Park, Mississippi Department of Archives and History, and Mississippi Public Broadcasting each February. Event founder Carolyn Vance Smith and her staff at Copiah-Lincoln Community College compile news clippings and program ephemera in scrapbooks for every year they host the conference. They scanned the pages of the 1990-2010 scrapbooks as 300ppi JPEG files in June-August 2010 and donated the electronic files and the original 1990-2004 scrapbooks to MDAH in November 2010. Each scrapbook is available as a PDF file from the links below. Oversized and multi-part items attached to scrapbook pages may not be visible in their entirety in the electronic copies.
