Tombecbe river on the West side of itt about 96 Leagues above the Town of Mobille the Source of this river is reckoned to be about 40 Leagues higher up in the Country of the Chickasasaws. The Fort of Tombecbe abandoned 1767—the river is Navigable for Sloops and Schooners about 35 Leagues above the Town of Mobille. 1763 the French Fort Alibama was evacuated.
