Statewide Maps, 1924-2016 Series 1705
These maps show features of the entire state, including roads and railroads, interstate highway systems, and county outlines. There are five major categories in this series: official highway maps, railroad maps, four-lane highway program maps, state-designated-state-maintained highway system maps, and other miscellaneous maps. The Department of Archives and History has electronic (PDF) copies of 1924-2013 maps scanned by MDOT. Many of the later files, including a 2004 PowerPoint presentation entitled "ROW Mowing: Contractual Warfare?," were "born digital."
