"Old Bldgs. & stuff. Scott County, Miss. Sept. 6, 1993. The old Searcy home of the dogtrot style popular in rural Mississippi during the 1800's. This house remains sound over a century after it was built. Made of virgin yellow pine heartwood - rich in turpentine - these beams and boards dried and aged into a natural gray color and decay resistant structure which needed neither paint nor preservative. Photos by Ed Blake." Two photographs on one board.
