The collection consists of precinct data from Mississippi general elections prepared by David Lublin, Asst. Professor, American University, in cooperation with D. Stephen Voss, Department of Political Science, University of Kentucky, and the Elections Division of the Mississippi Secretary of State's Office. A grant from the Program in Political Science of the Division of Social, Behavioral, and Economic Sciences of the National Science Foundation (#9710058) was critical toward entering this election data in electronic form and making it publicly available. The "README" files contain key information about data in the spreadsheets, especially definitions of column names.
