The Workers' Compensation Commission was established to supervise and monitor claims which arise under the Workers' Compensation Law enacted by the Legislature in 1948 to guarantee the payment of certain medical and wage loss benefits to persons injured on their job. The annual report gives statistical data pertaining to injury, illness, and death on the job and a financial summary for the fiscal year (July–June).
