Hubbard has been the owner of the slave, George, for several years, and that, returning from New Orleans, George was seized by David Couchman bearing a warrant signed by Silas Dinsmoor; Anderson Long, Warren County, Kentucky, appearing before George Moore and Alexander Graham, stating that he [Long] "raised" George and sold him to Hubbard; Adam Bratton, Warren County, Kentucky, appearing before George Moore and Alexander Graham, stating that he was on board the boat when David Couchman seized George from Alexander Stuart, who had been loaned the slave by Hubbard for the trip to New Orleans; Simon M.
