Letter, H. [Henry] Dearborn, War Department, to Samuel Mitchell, directing Mitchell to inform the Chief of Chickasaw Nation that: the articles stipulated by treaty will be delivered every two years, orders have been issued for furnishing the Chickasaws with manufacturing and farming implements and craftsmen to provide assistance, it is his desire that harmony and friendship be restored among the Indian Nations, and the President will be happy to meet with a delegation of Indians in Washington, D.C., between the last day of November and the first day of May and sends a passport and instructions for their journey.
