Issue: Tort reform

Street_Address: 1056 Deerfield Road

City: Summit

State: MS

Zip_Code: 39666

Message: The failure of the Governor and Lt.Governor to legitimatly change the tort system in our state[and please do not insult my intelligence by protesting that you would sign a tort reform bill if one would only be passed] forces me to inform you that I plan to do everything I can to ensure your and Ms.Tucks defeat in the next election. There are too many examples in surrounding states of systems that allow legal redress without the excesses of Mississippi's system. Pease do not think that the voters of this state are not smart enough to see though the flimsy excuses offered by you and Ms.Tuck. The bottom line is that jobs are being lost and peoples lives negatively impacted in order to continue a system where a minority, namely lawyers, can get rich quick by venue and judge shopping. This fraudulant attempt to delay, explain away[Insurance companies made bad investments, etc.], and obfuscate by naming this commitee made up of 62% lawyers is a joke. It is unfortunately on !
Mi!
ssissippians. It is past time for our state government to exhibit some leadership instead of crisis management. We will be watching.
