Our theme is "Learning form Our Past:Acting for our Future". The Board of Directors will hold their board meeting at the Beau Rivage on June 8-9, 2001. You are invited to bring greetings on behalf of the state on October 27, October 28 or October 30th (during our Civil Rights/Journal Luncheon). Due to the recent vote of the people in the state to retain the confederate flag, NAHRW believes we can assist in providing human right education to many in there. NAHRW, founded in 1947 is composed of individuals who are engaged in human and civil rights work as professionals in salaried staff capacities, as teachers of intergroup relations or related fields in recognized colleges and universities, as members of governing bodies of agencies or commissions substantially engaged in the field of human and civil rights and as individuals with recognized authority and demonstrated expertise who subscribe to NAHRW's purpose.
