As a member of the US navy it is perfectly clear to me. The military is there to give their life to their country. The military is there to fight for freedom, defend the constitution and die if needed. The military might be our sons and daughter, brother and sisters, fathers and mothers, but their first responsibility (as it should be with everybody) is our country and way of life. I would give my life to avenge the deaths of those who died on tuesday and so would every other serviceman and woman. Stop saying that it wouldn't be right to commit to a war where service men and women would die, that is what we are for. Death is a risk we take, its our job, let us do it.
