I do agree that it should be considered. WITH EVERYTHING ELSE BEING EQUAL, a same-sex couple is not quite as IDEAL a home as a hetrosexual couple could provide. However, there are many things about adoptive parents which are not ideal for a particular child also: income levels, personality traits, neighborhood and school system, age, race, education level, etc. A ban on any one of these characteristics would really "tie the hands" of social services in finding the best home for a particular child.
