I am of the opinion that by all of us working together with team effort, in a positive community atmosphere our teens will develop the incentive to continue participation in this program. CindyWilliams.net, is very excited to be working with troubled teens at the Ada County Juvenile Detention Center in Boise, Idaho. These teens have shown much courage in sharing their true stories about a life of crime. Through their expressions, albeit, not without some recalcitrancy, they're learning about themselves. However, paramountly, these teens will help prevent another teen from a life of crime. This group of teens and myself have met face to face, with scheduled meetings about every three weeks. The teens have given me their stories/poetry to be posted on the web site, fully planning to continue with their writing, when they are released from detention. I, in return will share with them stories/poetry from other teens around the world to create a web oriented community while they are incarcerated. The goal is for the teens to continue to remain in the web community, perhaps helping them to alleviate some of their feelings of isolation. Thus enabling them to express themselves, talk to others, or with the on-line counselor. The teens at the Ada County Juvenile Detention Center and CindyWilliams.net are also asking for other juvenile detention centers and teens to participate with us. By doing this, we can continue to perpetuate the aforementioned goals --- a win-win situation for all. I'm also asking for you to help us keep this web community alive by: letting others know about the site, sponsoring the project, networking with the teens, or writing to the teens yourself.
