Our eyes have seen it." David's enemies did not hesitate to testify against him. It seems they opened their mouth every chance they got to speak against him. If someone presented a testimony that made David look bad they would agree with the testimony in the affirmative by saying, "Aha, aha! Our eyes have seen it." They made it sound like they were there when they weren't. This is called lying. One might nod his head in the affirmative as he says, "Aha." Today, us southerners would say, "Uh huh." We, like David, must learn how to stand up underneath this kind of pressure. We must learn not to freak-out if this ever happens to us. We like to believe that we are protected from such things simply because of who we are. This would be a good time to read 2 Tim. 3:12; 1 Peter 4:1,13. I know this goes against some faith teaching, but we can't ignore the balance in the word. The only way to survive is to hold to the hand of Jesus Christ. He is able to sustain us under this kind of pressure. He has promised to walk us through, not around. Even this is a test. Though a thousand rise up against you in battle, one is always a majority with Christ. - Attachment Filename: C:\archives\governor\mail\Governor Musgrove\_attach\Psalm 35_21\TEXT.htm - Attachment Filename: C:\archives\governor\mail\Governor Musgrove\_attach\Psalm 35_21\Mime.822
