(Sunday October 22 4:00 PM ET Doctors Approve Assisted Executions By LINDSEY TANNER, AP Medical Writer ) at http://dailynews.yahoo.com/h/ap/20001022/hl/doctors_executions_1.html Please note that doctors make decisions all the time which they know will result in the death or harm of patients. In double blind stidies, the docors often already know that experimental drugs will save lives and reduce sufferring, yet they knowingly give placebos to ill patients and thereby are knowingly participating in procedures which will result in additional pain and death for such patients. This is an absolutely accepted and necessary part of being a doctor. No one disputes such. Furthermore, doctor negligence and misconduct, via medical misadventure, results in up to 100,000 patients dying per year. On the other hand, we already know that living murderers harm and murder again, quite often, but that executed murderers do not. Me thinks the AMA, they doth protest too much. Just some thought for food. best regards, dudley sharp justice for all - Attachment Filename: C:\archives\governor\mail\Governor Musgrove\_attach\doctor assisted execution\Mime.822
