Street_Address: 6470 FM 903 City: Celeste State: TX Zip_Code: 75423 Phone: 903-568-8155 Organization: exWcom5100 Position_in_Organization: member Message: Dear Sir: So many people are suffering because of the criminal behavior of WorldCom executives. WorldCom has donated millions in PAC contributions. There is an organization comprised of laid off workers to which I and my husband belong. It would be more than kind if you could yourself return any monies given you last year from WorldCom for political contributions and donate these funds to assist the families affected by WorldCom's shenanigans. Also, knowing your influence over your peers, please consider spear-heading a campaign to donate any and all WorldCom political contributions to the ex-WorldCom Employee Assistance Fund at the address below: ex-WorldCom Employee Assistance Fund c/o The Peachtree Bank of Dunwoody 1725 Mount Vernon Road Dunwoody GA 30338 I ask you to donate those funds to the employees laid off on June 28, 2002. This will help support thousands of former WorldCom employees and their families. Each laid-off ex-employee was promised a severance payment and healthcare benefits. As a result of WorldCom's bankruptcy filing, the former employees will receive a maximum of $4650, from which they must pay the cost of healthcare benefits that the company is no longer paying. For many of the ex-employees, the $4650 represents a pittance of what is owed to them based on their tenure and the cost of COBRA healthcare benefits. Given WorldCom's recent revelations of fraudulent accounting, as well as allegations of corporate misconduct, your decision to donate these funds demonstrates high ethical standards of your party. These funds will be used to support ex-employees facing dire situations, such as - a single mother who is undergoing chemotherapy for breast cancer. She needs help paying her mortgage and buying food for her children, -a father who is the sole source of income for his family of four, including a disabled wife, and -a mother with a two-year old child who has cancer and needs to maintain her medical coverage so that her child may continue life-saving medical treatments. Please consider sending the WorldCom PAC donations to our group. We have applied for 501c3 status; the IRS Acknowledgement is attached. All funds collected are being disbursed to ex-employees to support them while they locate a new job. Information on the fund can be found at http://www.exworldcom5100.com. We will recognize your donation and thoughtfulness on our website and coordinate a press release with your office to ensure that the American public knows that you support the victims of WorldCom's corporate terrorism.
