I am very worried over the drought Gaston County, North Carolina is under. I realize what I am about to suggest doesnt remedy the immediate problem in which the citizens face, but it could help not only the State of North Carolina, but also the state of Mississippi. My father told me one day: If they can lay pipes from Alaska, then it looks like they could lay pipes from Mississippi to North Carolina. North Carolina is known to have drought every year (this being the worst I can remember) and the Mississippi River is always flooding, causing a lot of damage and losses. Why cant we use tax dollars to lay pipe and cut the cost of the Disaster Relief Funds? I know it is easier said than done, but could we at least try? Thank you for your time.
