I think enough money has been spent on trying to accomplisht a task that the Legislature could not reach during regular session. I think the money that is being spent on special sessions for them (the Legislature) to sleep or read the paper at the taxpapers' expense, while the taxpapers are watching, should be put into our public schools. My children are attending 2 different public schools and neither school has enough books for the students to bring books home to study. In order for our children to learn or be ahead of the class, they need to have text books. Having the homework page copied and given to them to complete does nothing when you do not have information to refer back to. I think this is the crisis, not tort reform. Let the Legislature take up the issue of civil tort reform during regular session, not expanding the special session. If the special session is expanded, the state can't be as broke as we the taxpapers are led to believe. If we are not as broke as we were led to believe, take some of the money we are spending on special sessions and put it in teacher raises, Medicaid, and necessary school supplies, i.e. textbooks. I think a civil injustice has been done. We have given the doctors the tool they need to mistreat patients and not even worry or care about it. Thank you.
