Trouble. Trouble comes to us all. We bring most of our troubles on ourselves. Sometimes it is not what we deserve. I don't know of anyone who is immune to trouble. In time of trouble it is a comfort to know that the Lord is there to deliver us from it or at least walk us through it. We find a promise from God in this passage that if we consider the poor by reaching out to them and helping them when we can, God will reach out and help us when we need Him. You want to be blessed in life? Consider the poor around you and God will bless you. Let us make it a point to hunt down the poor and help them when we can. By making it a priority to give to the poor on a regular basis you will be depleted when the begging moochers, who think the world owes them handouts so they won't have to work, come knocking at your door. Let them know, with a smile on your face, that you just gave to a poor soul all you could spare.
