One that I believe has been proposed before in our state government: simul-cast horse wagering! I'm not sure if you know this, but our chief competition in Louisiana has agreed to let the horse tracks in that state to put in slot machines and video poker machines. Talk about a possible loss of revenue for Mississippi. Something as simple as alowing our casinos to offer this racing to its customers would generate quite a t more tax revenue. Actually, if you are currently taxing the casinos 12% you could tax horse wagering 14% The other 2 percent going towards teacher pay? Offering horse wagering would benefit every casino and give possible visitors to our state another reason to come.
