Mississippi did not/does not screen for this disorder, nor does it make parents aware that a screening is available at their choice. I have sent Lt. Governor Tuck attachments via e-mail that tells his story as a victim of not being screened and the story of Alex, an MCADD survivor who was screened in another state. And, I sent her a copy of my arguments for expanded newborn screening. Please ask her for a copy of those attachments and give SERIOUS CONSIDERATION to this very important issue. Thank you for your time.
