From: James Winston <jdwinston@aol.com> To: RM.GOV_PO.GOV_MAIL Created: 11/23/2002 4:24 AM Subject: Drunk Driving Laws must be a priority Message: November 23, 2002 Governor Ronnie Musgrove P.O. Box 139 Jackson, MS 39205 Dear Governor Musgrove, The nation's progress in eliminating drunk driving deaths has stalled. In 2000 and 2001, the number of alcohol-related traffic deaths increased in the United States. Worse yet, the rate of alcohol-related traffic deaths (based on the number of miles traveled in America) also increased -- a clear sign that the deaths are not a reflection of increased travel by the American public. As my current governor, I'm asking you to help raise awareness among incumbent legislators and lead the charge in upcoming sessions with a renewed focus on drunk- and impaired-driving issues. Sincerely, Mr. James Winston 21036 Ponderosa Trail Kiln, MS 39556 - Attachment Filename: C:\archives\governor\mail\Governor Musgrove\_attach\Drunk Driving Laws must be a priority\Mime.822
