Bottom: "Belhaven College, Jackson, Miss. Belhaven College at Jackson, had its foundation in 1893 by Dr. Fitzhugh who came to Jackson from McComb. It has been twice destroyed by fire. It was acquired by the Presbyterian Church in 1911 from which time since all the present buildings have been constructed."
