Mississippi State Capitol Landscape Plan, 1939 Series 1429
This series consists of a single item, a landscape plan, in pencil, of the grounds of the Mississippi State Capitol. A planting list is keyed to various locations around the grounds on the plan. Measuring 22" x 30", the drawing is stamped with a "Received" mark of March 16, 1939 by the Project Control Section of the Division of Operations, Mississippi Works Progress Administration. The grounds beautification scheme called for in this plan was apparently never carried out.
