Hord, Lida Collection PI/2019.0010
This is a collection of ninety-seven photo negatives taken in 1978 by Photographic Laboratory Technician Lida Hord, with assistance from Duplicating Equipment Operator Dennis Lawrence. The two employees of the Mississippi Department of Archives and History were granted access to the rooftop of the Walter Sillers State Office Building in Jackson, Mississippi, and photographed the downtown area from that vantage point. The collection also includes two interior office photographs of Lida Hord working at a desk in the basement of the Charlotte Capers Archives and History Building.
