"Tippah County. Oct. 21, 2000. The Cooper Hill School, founded about 1857 just before the Civil War, is the last one-room school building still standing and intact in Tippah County, Mississippi. The weathering 18' x 30' clapboard structure accommodated eight grades in the large single room. It is located on New Salem Road about two miles northwest of Falkner, and is next door to the Hugh Walker home. Photo by Ed Blake."
