Mount Zion Presbyterian Church History, circa 1873-1966 Z/2411

This manuscript, "History of Mount Zion Presbyterian Church," traces the history of Mount Zion Church in Choctaw County, Mississippi. It includes narratives summarizing meetings and functions of the church; lists of pastors, church officials, and members; and chapters on the activities of women and young people in the church. The manuscript is largely typescript, with some handwritten portions, and includes a newsclipping.

Technical Details

Original Scans: The Mount Zion Presbyterian Church (Choctaw County) History was scanned by Lilly Endowment grant-funded staff under the supervision of MDAH staff in 2024-2025, according to the Mississippi Department of Archives and History Board of Trustees' approved imaging procedures, following ANSI/AIIM recommended practice. The images were saved as uncompressed, 24-bit RGB TIFF files at 300 pixels per inch.

Conversion: TIFF files were converted to JPEG tile sets for Internet access in 2025.
