Mindy Hartgers is assistant to Dr. Wen Wee Ma. Ms. [Bartusiewicz] hurriedly went through a schedule and a list of drugs they planned to use and wrote it on a piece of paper. Margaret and Noble asked several questions, but she would not answered then and left the room. It was so unlike their interactions at Mayo Clinic, Margaret and Noble were in shock and planned to go elsewhere. On July 8, 2021 after meeting with Dr. Kendrick, one of the world's top pancreas surgeons, they were so impressed and encouraged. Believing Dr. Kendrick would be the one directing her care until surgery, they decided to continue at Mayo Clinic. After considerable confusion, caused by the division of medical oncology, Dr. Kendrick installed a port and did an exploratory on Margaret's abdominal. Dr. Kendrick felt because there was no cancer to be found in her entire body except inside her pancreas, they could do a few chemotherapy treatments, go surgery and remove 100% of the Cancer."
