The Mississippi Council on Developmental Disabilities is a federally mandated body of advocates appointed by the governor to promote a better quality of life for individuals with developmental disabilities, their families, and their communities. MSCDD is funded by the U.S. Administration on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. The Mississippi Department of Mental Health serves as the designated state agency for administrative and fiscal support for the council's activities. The Council publishes a report of activities and programs for the fiscal year (October 1 - September 30). The Department of Archives and History has electronic (PDF) copies of the report dating from 2013.
