Agriculture and Industry Buildings Dismantlement Series 1634

This subset of Series 1634 contains seventy-two digital photographs of the dismantlement of the Agriculture and Industry Buildings at the Mississippi State Fairgrounds taken on May 10, 2011, by MDAH Public Information staff member Stephenie Morrisey. The buildings were used primarily for flea markets and trade shows and infamously served as the "Fairgrounds Motel," a temporary prison for Civil Rights demonstrators arrested in 1963 and 1965.
