"Annual Averages" is a compilation of Labor Force and Industry level employment data published every ten years by the Labor Market Information Department of the Mississippi Department of Employment Security. The report provides amounts for the state, counties, Metropolitan Statistical Areas (MSAs), and other areas. The Mississippi Department of Employment Security was created to help Mississippians get jobs by operating WIN Job centers that match prospective employees with employers and help Mississippi businesses develop a highly skilled labor force. The Department also administers the state unemployment benefits program. The annual report (July 1 -June 30) highlights the programs and services the agency provides to the state. "Census of Employment and Wages" is an annual report that is prepared by the Labor Market Information Department of the Mississippi Department of Employment Security. In 2022, the report was replaced with "Census of Employment and Wages" (671.1:CE).

"Mississippi's Business Population" was published by the Labor Market Information Department of the Mississippi Department of Employment Security from 1960 through 2011. The report provides business population data for Mississippi by industry and by county for firms covered under the Mississippi Employment Security Law. The data consists of vital statistics for state businesses, including business births and deaths by industry division, type of organization, length of life, and change of ownership. The Occupational Employment & Wages program of the Labor Market Information Department at the Mississippi Department of Employment Security publishes annual estimates of occupational wage statistics from surveys of a random sample of employers. In 2018, the Labor Market Information Department of the Mississippi Department of Employment Security, funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Labor's Employment and Training Administration, published reports on "Occupations in Demand" at the state and Workforce Development Area (WDA) levels. The reports provide an analysis of annual demand, which includes both new and replacement workers, to highlight occupations with the highest need for workers. Tables show selected occupations sorted by annual demand, by average wages paid, and by job zone.
