"Covered Employment & Wages" was an annual report prepared by the Labor Market Information Department of the Mississippi Department of Employment Security. It contains employment and wage data compiled from reports submitted by employers who were subject to coverage under the Mississippi Employment Security Law. The information was published for the state, counties, and Workforce Development Areas (WDAs), except where confidentiality prevented release of such data. The Mississippi Department of Archives and History has paper copies of many of the reports between 1949 and 1992 (331.112/M69) and electronic (PDF) copies from 2004 to 2021. In 2022, the report was replaced with "Census of Employment and Wages" (671.1:CE).
