"Census of Employment and Wages" is an annual report that is prepared by the Labor Market Information Department of the Mississippi Department of Employment Security. It replaced "Covered Employment and Wages," when federal government data was combined with employment covered under the Mississippi Employment Security Law in all tables. The report contains employment and wage data compiled from reports submitted by employers who are subject to coverage under the Mississippi Employment Security Law. The information is published for the state, counties, and Workforce Development Areas (WDAs), except where confidentiality prevents release of such data. The Mississippi Department of Archives and History has electronic (PDF) copies dating from 2022.
