Appalachian Development Highway System Booklets Series 1374
The Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) generated booklets describing the route and estimating the expenses for completing the Appalachian Development Highway System in Mississippi. The route consists of U.S. Highway 78 from the Alabama state line through Fulton to Tupelo and then Mississippi Highway 6 from Tupelo through Pontotoc and Oxford to U.S. Interstate Highway 55 at Batesville. Each booklet contains segment maps and descriptions, roadway and bridge cross-sections, and cost estimate tables. The Department of Archives and History has electronic (PDF) copies of the 1979, 1992, and 2002 booklets scanned by MDOT.
