The series consists of reports on estimated costs to complete Mississippi's portion of the Great River Road, dating 1977 and 1980. The state of Mississippi's portion runs for approximately 350 miles along U.S. Highway 61, Miss. Highway 1, and a small section of U.S. Highway 49. Each report contains segment maps and descriptions, roadway and bridge cross sections, and cost estimate tables. The Department of Archives and History has electronic (PDF) copies of the reports produced by MDOT.
